Star Wars skins and lightsabers return to Fortnite - New Style Motorsport

This week, those who recognize the holiday will celebrate Star Wars Day. A day that falls on May 4 of each year because, you know, may the fourth be with you. Prepare to hear that a lot tomorrow. As for how you can mark the occasion, a ton of Star Wars content will be returning to Fortnite to celebrate. From lightsabers to masks to blaster rifles.

There have been rumors for weeks that Fortnite players would once again have the chance to wield lightsabers, and now Epic has confirmed it. Weapons will be available to find around the island in green, blue, purple, and also in the unique red version of Kylo Ren. Lightsabers have divided Fortnite players in the past. While some consider them to be overpowered, others shed the rest of their loadouts in favor of lightsaber-only battles the last time they were in the game two years ago.

As for skins, nine of the ten Star Wars characters previously added to Fortnite will be available over the course of the next two weeks. The only Star Wars character not returning to the island is The Mandalorian. That’s due to the fact that he was added as an unlockable Battle Pass, not someone you can buy through the in-game store. However, Boba Fett will return, as will Rey and Finn, who were originally added to the game in 2019.

Lightsabers won’t be the only Star Wars weapon available in The Loop starting tomorrow. You’ll also be able to find blaster rifles scattered around the island through Fortnite chests. There will also be limited-time quests to complete that will remain available, along with everything else mentioned, for two weeks, until May 17, 2022.

When Star Wars returns to Fortnite, a character from a Disney intellectual property leaves. Moon Knight will be leaving the in-game store this week, just before the show’s season finale premieres on Disney+. As for other things to look out for this Star Wars Day, fans are hoping there’s some kind of official confirmation that Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is in the works.
