Baldur's Gate 3 will leave early access in 2023 - New Style Motorsport

RPG fans have had to wait a while for the third installment in the Baldur’s Gate series. After all, Baldur’s Gate 2: Shadows of Amn was released in the year 2000, just two years after the debut game was released. Developed and published by Larian Studios, Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in early access since late 2020, but we finally have a confirmed date for when the game will leave early access.

Set 120 years after the events of Baldur’s Gate 2, players will encounter parasitic mind flayers, githyanki warriors, red dragons, and a cast of characters including vampires, warlocks, elves, and wizards in Larian Studios’ upcoming RPG, which has said it is officially leaving early access and launching in 2023.

In a dev diary detailing the “journey so far,” which was shared during this year’s D&D Direct, Larian showed off a quirky cosplay video featuring a horned guy, a fake doctor, and some in-game shots showing how he has changed during development. . A montage showing animators, actors, and developers hard at work was also featured, while the enhanced visual comparisons looked especially impressive.

The biggest reveal, though, was Larian’s confirmation that Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t leave Early Access this year, but will release sometime in 2023. “For Nine Hells, we’ve already added a lot of great stuff, and there’s more to come.” that came. So join us in early access on our journey to Baldur’s Gate 3, or come in 2023 when the game launches,” Larian said.

In February, Larian had suggested development could take longer, saying his “internal goal for release is a quality bar rather than a date”, and said he hoped Baldur’s Gate 3 wouldn’t be released until next year. Since the RPG title hit Steam Early Access in October 2020, Larian has made steady progress on the game, adding a growing list of spells and overhauling turn-based combat. Fans will surely find some solace in that an official confirmation of the game’s release has now been announced.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will release in 2023 on Steam and GOG, but not on the Epic Games Store, at least to begin with.
