A new update for Horizon Forbidden West is out now, and it includes a number of important fixes that should help make the experience more enjoyable overall. Read on for the full patch notes, which were originally posted by Guerrilla Games on Reddit, but be aware that the list includes some story spoilers.
The Reach for the Stars main quest has now been updated to fix a progression lock issue, while the main quest, To the Brink, now correctly spawns Belna after completing a specific objective. Singularity’s main quest has also been updated to fix “unexpected character behavior” that could trigger progression blockers.
The May 5 patch also removes progression issues with Forbidden West side quests, including an issue that could cause Stormbird to get stuck in terrain.
There are also new improvements to help with general stability and crashes, while the update brings various audio fixes as well as improvements to Aloy’s animations. The full patch notes can be seen below.
Guerrilla also posted a list of known issues for Horizon Forbidden West, noting that “visual glare” is still an issue and that the studio is trying to improve. Additionally, Guerrilla said that some of the in-game outfits may appear to be covered by dark shadows in inventory, and this is something the studio is looking to address in the future.
A third entry in the Horizon series is reportedly coming soon, but Guerrilla has yet to make an official announcement about it.
