There was another tremor in the Force this week when the second trailer for the latest live-action “Star Wars” spin-off show “Obi-Wan Kenobi” dropped into what’s known for marketing reasons as “Star Wars Day” or 4 of May.
The first trailer to be released, way back in March, sent tingles down our spine as the amazing John Williams’ track “Dual of Fates” from the Darth Maul fight in “The Phantom Menace” (arguably the best part of the movie) plays in the background. And while this second trailer for the new Disney Plus series doesn’t pack quite as much of a punch, it still has us more excited about it than any other incoming sci-fi, with the sole exception of “For All Mankind” season 3. And of course those other upcoming Star Wars TV shows in the works.

The show was pushed back a couple of days and will now premiere on Disney Plus on Friday, May 27, right in the middle of the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, California. However, House of Mouse saw fit to reward the patience of fans with this little setback and now the first. two the episodes will drop simultaneously.
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is set after the events of “Revenge of the Sith” and follows the Jedi Master’s time in exile, keeping an eye on young Luke Skywalker on the desert planet of Tatooine. Meanwhile, he must evade Jedi hunters a decade after the purging events of Order 66. In both trailers, it’s great to see how the world is built, including other locations, in addition to Tatooine, in particular, the incredible aesthetics created for the “Star Wars: Underworld” test images, something we saw in chapter 5 of ” The Book”.
