day 2 update: We’re back for day two of the 2022 NFL Draft. Liberty QB Malik Willis and Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean are seen as the two highest-rated prospects still on the board. Willis was projected by some as a top-10 pick, but has escaped the first round. Pitt’s Kenny Pickett was the only quarterback to participate on the first day in a quarterback draft class historically considered low-quality. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the first team on the clock. The San Francisco 49ers currently have the final third-round pick to wrap up day two.
After months of speculation, the 2022 NFL Draft is finally here. The draft will take place over three days live from Las Vegas, with the first round on Thursday, the second and third rounds on Friday and rounds 4-7 on Saturday.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are officially on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick for the second year in a row. After drafting franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence last year, the Jags are expected to look for a defensive prop in the front seven or lock on an offensive tackle to help protect Lawrence. It remains a mystery who will be the first pick until draft day. The Detroit Lions picked second, and there are rumors the organization is eyeing pass-rusher Aidan Hutchinson from Michigan.
